(no subject)

Went to the doctor today to get my wounds debrided and it huuuuurt like a mother but I'm on morphine now so I'm feeling pretty good. Downside: the roommate had to do his best to keep me from saying the word 'shit' too many times in front of a mother and her young children while we were having a conversation about the Sewer Authority (I have feelings about the Sewer Authority which mostly involve 'I had a perfectly good working septic tank you bastards'). The fact that my accent gets particularly midwestern when I'm under the influence probably did not help impressions. What do you mean it's not pronounced Oh-Hai-Yah?

Good news: Probably just two weeks left before I can go back to work. The wounds are healing well - the largest was 4 1/2 cm, and is now less than 1 cm deep. They are bleeding like crazy.

Bad news: Still two weeks, still hurting, bleeding like crazy.

Afterward we went to L&L Pastries for lunch which was delightful. I had Chunky Monkey waffles and he had a Burning Asshole Burger, which is pretty much exactly what you think it is. L&L was lovely and is run by a delightful lesbian couple who informed me that life was short, and I was permitted to eat more waffles.


We found my old school pictures in the basement while looking for photos of my grandmother to mail to relatives.

Two more weeks is too long. I haven't had a hair-cut in over a month, OR A PROPER SHOWER NOT OUT OF A SINK. I wake up from an hour long nap to this shit.
