YES SOULSCAPING. I do not know if you are at all familiar with True Blood or its later seasons, but Lafayette has some kind of demonic entity acting on him. Canon has been fuzzy on what the exact nature is, but it's affecting him in a way such that when he loses control of his temper, it tries to .. basically force him to do things to 'avenge' himself.
