[481] now I float away like honey in the sun

The week off is half over, and I'm feeling like a person again! There's lots to do and lots I've already done. Mostly recently, ducked over to the movies to see the Mission: Impossible franchise off into the sunset (WHIGHAM HIVE RISE UP), and while that live action Lilo & Stitch looks like the typical Disney infinite-money glitch dreck they will keep pumping out until standards improve, gosh it's nice to see a packed cinema again. We're so back!!!

Tomorrow will be for visiting my grandmother and then getting drunk enough that I won't be able to go out and commit arson if Hangman doesn't win the Double or Nothing main event. You know, typical weekend stuff!

re: Overlooked and Underappreciated

ALL OUT IN TORONTO THIS YEAR, EAT IT CHICAGO. YOU GET YOUR POPE, WE GET YOUR PPV, THAT WAS THE DEAL. It'll be coming right after Forbidden Door and the Philly 2300 Arena residency, too, so it could be a very interesting show! I've got exactly one week to prepare for ticket sales and then exactly four months to prepare for my first (possibly only?) proper trip of the year so LET'S FUCKING GO.

For now though, I've got four hours left in my work week and mom birthday shit to figure out aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

18. Do You Ever Feel Overlooked and Underappreciated?

hahahahahaha

we have fun here

re: Moving Overseas

Chill Sunday. Chilly, but chill. I'm less annoyed by everything than I was yesterday, possibly because it's dead quiet so I'm basically being paid for attendance. Twelve long hours of attendance. Gonna ask my mom if she'll pick me up on my lunch break and give me a ride downtown so I can get that package waiting for me; it had better be the cute wrestling merch, I can't think of any other package I'm expecting that I'd be willing to pay $25 in duty fees on. And I need to order movie tickets for tomorrow and also figure out what the hell I'm doing for my mom's birthday on Wednesday??? Ugh, the inexorable march of time kicks my ass a little bit harder every year.

17. Would You Consider Moving Overseas for a Job?

Are you kidding me? In a fucking heartbeat.

ETA: THE FUCKING POST OFFICE IS CLOSED TODAY BUT OPEN TOMORROW???? FUCK CANADA POST, ALL MY HOMIES HATE CANADA POST.

re: Microadventures

Still so cold. Still so grumpy about it. Really wish I was going to the movies tonight, but noooooooo. I've got a package that I've got to go downtown to pick up that I won't be able to get to until Wednesday at the earliest and I'm sad about it, because I think it's cute wrestling merch. Everything sucks just a little bit right now!!!

At least work is quiet so far. Time is moving at a fucking crawl, though. Just saw a girl wearing an actual tube top like it's 2003 or something. I remain very disappointed that the Merge Mansion tag on AO3 is nothing but Pedro Pascal/reader smut. HE'S NOT EVEN IN THE GAME.

16. What Local ‘Microadventures’ Would You Like to Go On?

......where do you think I live? There's nothing to do here except going to the movies BUT THAT'S NOT IN THE FUCKIN' CARDS TONIGHT.

[480] radio is a sound salvation

There's a work barbecue today, but it's all the way at the body shop, which is a good ten minute walk away, and it ends an hour before my lunch break, so I will probably not get any, which is annoying. Also, we were supposed to go to the movies tomorrow night, but now mom wants to do a double feature on Monday instead. These two extremely minor things are currently doing some sort of fusion dance in my head to make the next three days feel like an insurmountable obstacle that I'm just slamming headlong into and ugh. I need a new life.

Temperature was back below freezing this morning. I have busted out the cozy cardigan and hate everything. Except the cozy cardigan. And Elvis Costello, apparently!

[479] camera got them images, camera got them all

I would simply like to not be constantly freezing in the middle of May, that's all! I wish that wasn't such a big ask of both man and nature, but here we are!

Work is just annoying in general today, honestly, but the hours are ticking steadily by and we are, in fact, closed for Victoria Day, so I have that to look forward to. Nothing will impede my seeing the Monday Mystery Movie this week!

Torn between rewatching all the final destinations and all of the impossible missions ahead of their respective next installments, I will probably do neither. Is it too early to start thinking about tonight's supper? OH WELL.

[478] a hall of records, or numbers, or spaces still undone

Staring down the barrel of another eighty hours* in this big frigid building, but feeling okay about it. Sleepy, but okay. This too shall pass, and it'll hopefully be sunny on the other side.

In watching more movies this month, I have fallen behind on my TV shows, and Yellowjackets suddenly sucking hasn't helped matters any. Also it's Best of the Super Jr. season! There simply isn't enough time for it all!

It's beginning to seem like I will be spending my entire day thinking about pasta. That's not going to make the next nine hours any easier, but should make the eventual reward that much more triumphant.

*oh shit I need to ask if we're closed on Monday, actually
